Technician Assistant/ Customer ServiceWorking in animal health provides many dynamic opportunities, and Precision Veterinary Services provides an even more unique opportunity in that we are a swine practice. We are searching for a friendly and driven individual to join our growing team. RESPONSIBILITIES Customer service for producers. Administrative assistant tasks Organize meetings and trade shows Schedule office maintenance Registered Veterinary Technologist tasks such as dispensing prescription products and assisting with herd health and pharmaceutical inquiries Veterinary support which may include on-farm visits, sample collection, and sample preparation and processing in the lab. Inventory management of pharmaceutical products and supplies, including receiving, preparing and distributing client product orders. And all other related tasks. SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED Experience in a similar position is an asset Experience with feed scripts and/or laboratory work. Veterinarian specialized in swine healthIn collaboration with their peers, the specialized veterinarian will have the mandate to support swine producers and to participate with the team in the development and continuous improvement of customer service. In partnership with the team, the veterinarian will make sure to provide a complete veterinary service, as well as health strategies adapted to the unique producer. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform farm visits to establish and/or maintain the Client-Veterinarian-Patient relationship, including maintaining the medical file (visit reports, prescriptions, CPE files, etc.). Collaborate with the team in the implementation of health “monitoring” programs in all client farms (clinical evaluations, necropsies, serology and other samples, follow-up of processing plant controls, etc.) and clients communications. Identify client needs and tools that could add value to veterinary services. Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly veterinary meetings. Collaborate with the R&D team (internal and peers) in carrying out projects, preparing new protocols, reports and research summaries. Collaborate with the team in the development of the “Atlas” program (client file and online management tool for veterinarians) as well as training our clients on how to use it. Support and optimize the use of management tools (Pigknows, Iris and others) with customers. Participate and collaborate in presentations prepared for webinars (Pig Channel) and/or producer meetings offered by Swine Veterinary Partners to its customers. Follow the activities and actions of the various provincial organizations (swine industry). Optimize client access to the various support programs from government organizations. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION : Diploma in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Provincial veterinary license Validator certification (Canadian Pork Excellence program, Canadian Food Inspection Agency) WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER YOU : A competitive salary according to your experience and skills.
